Handheld Golf Systems hired Forall Systems to develop Golf Tap!, a Palm application that gives golf instructors
a simple, time-saving method for organizing their lesson business.
When launched, Golf Tap! displays the list of students taking lessons from the instructor. Student names can be
loaded by category from the built-in PalmOS Address application, or they can be entered manually using the
Student Edit screen. The edit screen also allows the instructor to enter additional information, such as vital
statistics and handicap. Areas in which the student needs improvement can be entered via a handy popup dialog.
The Lesson History screen allows the instructor to quickly view the lesson history of each student. Details of
each lesson can be viewed by tapping on the lesson. Selected evaulation areas and drills can then be beamed to
students that have the Student version of Golf Tap!.
Lessons are added and edited by entering evaluation and drill information in a series of lesson editing screens.
The two student evaluation screens are pre-configured with a large number of areas in which students can be
evaluated by selecting values from popup menus. The Drills screen allows the instructor to select drills to
assign to the student.
An instructor can quickly launch the Address application or PhotoSuite via icons located in the upper-right corner
of each main screen, and push buttons located in the lower-right corner of each main screen allow for easy navigation
between each of the main screens within the application itself.
